5 Holiday Outfit Inspirations
A few outfit inspirations for the holiday season in case you are in need of something new.
Hello Gent Z readers!
Holiday season is here and I would love to share with you a few outfit inspirations to make this winter a little bit better than your last one.
1. The winter classic
This is the most classic business casual look that you can wear to work during holiday season, knowing that whoever sees you will recognize your good taste. A light blue dress shirt is layered with a light brown cardigan and a dark navy tie. A light gray pair of pants turns the focus upward to your most animated feature – the face.
If your workplace isn’t too strict with dress code, this look might be a bit over-accessorized. I would recommend you take away the tie and leave some of your shirt buttons a the top undone.
You can also change the color of the cardigan to a less-earthly or lighter color to bring out more contrast.
2. Winter Laid Back
This is the most casual outfit in this list. If you are simply hanging out with friends during New Year’s Eve, this might be a great choice.
A simple flannel shirt is layered with a white V-neck sweater or cardigan and paired with jeans of relaxed fit. Throw in a beige trench coat and you’ll look classic without having to worry about wind and snow.
If it’s not too cold, you can keep your trench coat open to show off a little bit of your layering game.
3. Christmas Party
A Christmas party is your once-a-year opportunity to have the most fun with your look. You can do this without having to resort to buying ugly sweaters all the time. A festive patterned burgundy sweater layered on top of a white dress shirt will help you do the trick. You can either wear a fun tie like in the photo or lose it altogether.
As usual, wear all black at the bottom to turn the focus of the party toward your charming smile.
4. Enjoying the Snow
If you are simply looking to enjoy the snow during daylight hours, you’ll love this look. You should be wearing a light brown turtleneck for that warmth and the sense of coziness. White chinos and sneakers make it look like you’re floating on top of the snow and give you that youthful appearance. A navy topcoat/peacoat completes the look and makes you look well put-together.
Even if there’s no snow where you live, this look should still get you favorable nods and smiles on the street.
5. Winter Night Out
A white turtleneck always make you look younger than you are and the navy peacoat is forever a winter classic for a gentleman. Black pants and dark brown oxfords or loafers can never go wrong together, at least since the King of Style himself did it decades ago.
As for accessories, your favorite watch coupled with a pair of black leather gloves help put everything together and complete the look.
Even though I labeled this as a night-out outfit, you can rock this look no matter the occasion, except for events with strict formal dress code.
Which look is your favorite? Let me know in the comments.
Be honest, intentional, and elegant.
Stylishly yours,
